I'd definitely have to say the siberian husky. Although not the dog for everyone due to their keen intelligence and difficulty to train. They know how to get into lots of trouble but make up for it with their affectionate natures and soft coat.
Mutts however are a very close second as well. You never know wuite what you're gonna get and pound puppies are grateful for being saved.
Most definitely a mutt. Preferably a retriever mix of sorts. Flat-Coated, Golden, Curly Coated, Chessie, they're all great. Click my link for my baby-girl's dogster page ;-)
The Pembroke Welsh corgi is my favorite dog!!!
The short little body withe cute face and ears, this is my all time favorite dog. The stubby little tail and cute puppies just add more and more to the cute little dog,and they are very smart too
Shiba Inu. Because they are the Best Dogs Ever. Definitely not for everyone though. Too stubborn. And not cuddly enough for some people. But I LIKE how independent they are!
Mutts, definatley, but if I had to pick, the Bloodhound. Gentle, calm, and sensitive, their reaction to being scolded is to go sit in the corner and mope. I have litterally made my bloodhound mix cry just by yelling at him (and when I say "cry" I mean actual tears, runny nose and quivering lips). I find that somehow more dignified than, say, a lab who just falls all over itself to please you no matter what you do. Bloodhounds are sort of like teenagers that way, and as a high school teacher, I guess I dig that.
All of these are wrong. The cutest dog is the english sheepdog and if you don't beleive me then go here:

How can someone say a mutt is the best? Thats like saying my favortie food is the grocery store? If you like a mutt for whatever reason, it's because theres a breed type in there somewhere or a mix of a few that made it that way. Duh.
I have a Bearded Collie/Australian Shepard Mix and he is the best dog I have ever had. He really has the Beardie personality: bouncy, super smart, very snuggly and absolutely ADORABLE. So I would have to say that the Bearded Collie is my favorite breed of dog. - Erin
COCKER SPANIELS! they are the best dogs. they are gorgeous, loving, and fun to play with. my juliet loves a good game of basketball. I also own a beagle...and she isn't bad either :)...but she doesn't play basketball...so I have to go with my Cockers!
You can't beat a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, in my opinion. They are:
1. Absolutely adorable (who can resist those eyes?)
2. The happiest dogs in the world - if their tail stops wagging for more than an hour, you should take them to the vet.
3. Super easy to train, since they are both smart and super eager to please.
4. The softest, cuddliest dogs in the world.
5. Easy-going, and laid back around other dogs and kids - no territoral issues here!
I don't know what I'd do without my little guy - there's nothing better in the world than coming home to my happy little cavalier. (Except never leaving him in the first place.)
Can I say mutts? Especially from shelters - they make the best pets. Followed closely by the mini schnauzer. They're crafty, sometimes yappy, and stubborn but have the best sense of humor ever.
