We often see these types of articles, purporting to help future dog owners choose which type of dog to get.

I've always thought that most people either 1) already know exactly what breed of dog they want without care for what breed (s) may be better suited to their temperment or lifestyle or 2) know that they would go to the animal shelter to chose a dog...let me know if you think I'm wrong and that people most people make informed decisions rather than simply going with their gut.
